Bio

Robert W. Stegmaier has engaged in all facets of photography for over thirty years. Looking at life through his camera, Bob creates images with people, places and things. He enjoys the diversity that is possible with photography, with images ranging from the serenity in still life objects to the dynamics of motion in ballet and flowing water.

While teaching physics at the University of Hawaii, he photographed the beauty of nature that he saw on the islands. When he joined the United States Air Force, he had a chance to travel and see a wide variety of people and scenes across America. While in Kansas, Bob taught photography at the Wichita Art Association for three years and joined professional photography groups and studied with many professional photographers. He developed a reputation as an accomplished Portrait, Wedding and Commercial photographer. While assigned to Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, NY, Bob taught photography at Utica College of Syracuse University and was involved in the local art scene as the president of the Utica Art Association.

Currently providing professional photography services in the NYC and the Boston area. Bob is a member of and has served on the board of several professional photography local and national organizations. He is a member of the Cambridge Art Association, the Whistler House Art Association, the Brush Art Gallery, the Arts League of Lowell, the Chelmsford Art Society, the Professional Photographers of America and Professional Photographers of New England.

His Fine Art, Commercial, Scenic and Event photography has been displayed at many locations throughout New York and New England and published in several motorcycle, automotive and trade publications.
